The Combat Veterans For Congress PAC is endorsing the 137th Combat Veteran For Congress in 12 years, Congressman Darrell E. Issa, Captain/USAR (EOD) who resides in San Diego, CA.  Cong Issa is running for re-election in the 48th Congressional District of California.  Cong Issa served 16-years in the US Army and the US Army Reserve.  He previously served in the US House of Representatives for 18 years from 2001 to 2019, representing Congressional Districts, primarily covering North San Diego County, and then represented the 48th Congressional District for two years.

From January 2011 to January 2015, Cong Issa served as Chairman of the House Oversight and Government Committee as the top government watchdog in Congress; he retired after 18 years of service in the US House.  Cong Issa decided to run for Congress again, in order to ensure that the seat in the 48th Congressional District would not be won by Ammar Yasser Najjar.  Supporters of The Muslim Brotherhood International Terrorists, Socialists, Progressives, and Leftists tried to elect Ammar Yasser Najjar to represent the 48th Congressional District in the 2018 and the 2020 Congressional elections; now they are intent on electing him to that same Congressional seat in 2022.

Cong Issa has always strongly supported Veterans rights, voted to strengthen the US Armed Forces, supported a leaner more efficient government, and fought for lower taxes. Cong Issa continues to try to reduce the national debt, and is trying to reduce the out of control spending by the irresponsible Progressive, Socialist, Radical Leftists, and Marxist members of Pelosi’s Democratic Caucus.  Cong Issa will work to secure the Southern Border by funding measures to finish the wall, to stem the flow of hundreds of thousands of Illegal Aliens in the US, over 400,000 Illegal Aliens this month, and the smuggling of opioids and other drugs.  Cong Issa stated the Southern Border Wall will prevent the entry into the US of violent MS-13 gang members, white slavers, Radical Islamic Terrorist, and Illegal Aliens from over 160 countries worldwide.  Cong Issa has taken the lead in Congress to save hundreds of Americans Citizens who were left behind in Afghanistan by the Biden administration.   Cong Issa is running against a Pelosi’s leftist.  Ammar Yasser Najjar formally  changed his name after the California Primary in 1917, dropping his middle name, “Yasser”, and changed it to  “Campa-Najjar”.  The name change was an attempt to avoid his father, Yasser Mohammed Najjar’s, PLO roots.  His father is a senior PLO government official, and has been for 25 years. He was the former PLO Ambassador to Norway, and was closely associated of PLO Leader Yasser Arafat, for 15 years.

In his youth, Ammar Campa-Najjar (aka Ammar Yasser Najjar) was educated in PLO Schools in the Gaza Strip, until he was 12 years of age, at which time he was brought to the United States by his father.  Ammar Yasser Najjar is the grandson of Mohammed Yusuf Najjar (aka Abu Yusuf), the notorious leader of the PLO’s Black September Organization, who planned and executed the murder of 11 Israeli Olympic athletes during the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, Germany.  In 2015 in a post on Instagram, Ammar Yasser Najjar referred to his grandfather, the terrorist assassin, Abu Yusuf as a “Legend”.

Many of Ammar Najjar’s family members have been closely associated with the PLO Terrorist Organization for over 70 years, as outlined in the article in this follow on link from the Israel National News http://www.israelnationalnews.com/Articles/Article.aspx/22695  .  Ammar Yasser Najjar’s father is now in San Diego supporting  his son’s Congressional Campaign. Ammar Yasser Najjar, is an “Open Borders Advocate”, has ties with CAIR & The Muslim Brotherhood International Terrorist Organization, that has been outlawed by Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, and Israel.  CAIR was designated an International Terrorist Organization in 2014 and outlawed by the United Arab Emirates.   Ammar Yasser Najjar made a donation to CAIR, and 12 prominent CAIR Officials made donations to Ammar Yasser Najjar’s past Congressional campaigns.   Prior to Obama’s election, Ammar Yasser Najjar was Obama’s Campaign Deputy Regional Director, and after Obama took office. Ammar Yasser Najjar was chosen to serve as Director of the Obama Administration’s Office of Public Affairs of the Employment and Training Administration.  He has always supported Obama and Bernie Sanders who have aggressive anti-Israel stances.   Ammar Najjar’s third campaign for Congress is again being financed by supporters of CAIR, The Muslim Brotherhood, Bernie Sanders, Joe Bidden, Barrack Obama, Alexander Ocasio-Cortez and the Squad, The Political Revolution, Progressive Caucus, NOW, Our Revolution, Socialists, SIEU, Planned Parenthood, Marxist Tom Perez’s Socialist Democrat Party, Nazi-Collaborator George Soros, and Act Blue (that funds ANTIFA and Black Live Matter). Ballot Harvesting was used to try to get Ammar Campa-Najjar elected in 2018, again in 2020, and it will be used in 2022.  Darrell Issa was born on November 1, 1953 in Cleveland, Ohio the second of six children and was raised in his youth in the predominately Jewish suburb of Cleveland Heights; he is the grandson of Immigrants.  His father, William, was a Lebanese American of the Marinate Catholic faith who sold trucks and ground valves and his mother, Martha, was a German American of the Later-Day Saint faith.  Darrell matriculated at Cleveland Heights High School in Cleveland.

In 1970, on his 17th birthday, Darrell dropped out of high school and enlisted in the US Army for three years.  He became an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician assigned to the 145th Ordnance Detachment; he trained in that very dangerous assignment, learning how to defuse explosive devices.  Specialist Issa studied for and earned a General Educational Development (GED) Certificate, and received his high school diploma.  In 1972, after his father suffered a heart attack, Specialist Issa received a hardship discharge from the US Army.
Between September 1972 and May 1973, Darrell attended Sierra Heights University, a small Roman Catholic College in Adrian, Michigan, followed by entry into the Stark Branch Campus of Kent State University where he attended college on a Reserve Officer Training Corps Scholarship at Kent State and Cadet Issa was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the US Army Reserve on June 1976.  2nd Lt Issa attended Armor Officer Basic Course at Fort Knox, Kentucky.  He was subsequently assigned to the First Infantry Division at Fort Riley, Kansas.  2nd Lt Issa was promoted to First Lieutenant in April 1978, and was assigned as a tank platoon commander.

In April 1980, 1st Lt Issa was promoted to Captain.  In June 1980, Capt Issa left active duty, but remained in the US Army Reserve, throughout the Reagan era.  First he served annual regular active duty for training, underthen Lieutenant Colonel Wesley Clark, USA.  During the 1985 period Capt Issa also assisted John Carroll ROTC, then he moved his company to San Diego.  Capt Issa did not re-establish affiliation with any specific US Army Reserve Unit, to drill with, in San Diego.  On July 13, 1989, Capt Issa resigned his commission and was Honorably Discharged after 16 years of enlisted and commissioned service in the US Army and the US Army Reserve.

While in Congress Cong Issa repeatedly kept going into “In Harm’s Way” during a hostile combat environments in both Iraq and Afghanistan on the following periods in support of his former Army comrades.    On October 7, 2001 Cong Issa traveled Bahrain on a fact-finding mission to meet with VADM Charles Moore, Jr., USN, Commander FIFTH Fleet to observe planning and preparation for the invasion of Afghanistan.  Then Cong Issa travelled to Bagram, Afghanistan, and reported on operation upon his return to Congress.  In mid-2002 Cong Issa returned to Afghanistan on a follow up fact-finding mission; he flew back into Bagram during combat operations, upon his return to Congress, he reported on operations.  On January 1, 2004, Cong Issa flew into the Middle East on another extended fact-finding mission first to Libya, then to Kuwait to observe support efforts for combat operations in Iraq, followed by a flight into Baghdad, Iraq during combat operations.  He next flew on to Pakistan, and then returned to Bagram, Afghanistan, during combat operations and reported on operations upon his return to Congress. In mid-December 2009, Cong Issa flew to Helmand Province, Afghanistan.  He then traveled to Forward Operating Base Delhi, in Garmsir, Afghanistan with General James Amos, USMC during combat operations.  Cong Issa met with the “Warlords”, US Marines and Navy Corpsmen of the 2ndBattalion, 2nd Marine Regiment.  Cong Issa remained at the Forward Operation Base Delhi to support personnel through Christmas Day; he reported on operations upon his return to Congress.   Prior to his election to Congress, Darrell Issa was a technology industry leader.  In 1982 he founded and was CEO of Vista, California based Directed Electronics, Inc., the industry leading manufacturer of automobile security and convenience products.  Darrell has served as the Chairman of the Consumer Electronics Association, the Board of Governors of the Electronics Industry Association, the Director of the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation, and the Greater San Diego County Chamber of Commerce. In 1994, Darrell received the Entrepreneur of the Year Award from Inc. Magazine, Ernst & Young, and The San Diego Union-Tribune.

Cong Issa is a member of the AMVETS, the American Legion, and the NRA; he is a recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor.  Cong Issa has been endorsed by former California Governor Pete Wilson (USMC), former Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, Cong Duncan D. Hunter, Cpt/USA (Ranger/Vietnam), Minority House Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA-23), Minority Whip Cong Steve Scalise (R-LA-1), Cong Barry M Goldwater, Jr. (Ret), Cong Robert "Rob" Simmons, Col-USA/CIA, (Ret), Cong Kerry Bentivolio, SFC/MI-ANG  (Ret), Cong Paul Collins Broun, Cdr-USNR (MC) (Ret), and the Combat Veterans For Congress PAC.  Cong Issa is married to Kathy; they have one adult son, William age 39 and two grandchildren.  Cong Issa and his wife are active members of the St Anthony’s Antioch Church in San Diego, CA.
The Combat Veterans For Congress PAC is pleased to endorse Cong Darrel E. Issa, Captain/USAR (EOD) who will continue to bring to the US House of Representatives legislative skills and wisdom to better solve problems in government and to represent the State of California.  If you review Cong Issa’s positions on his Web site in the attachment, you would be pleased with his positions; they agree with the Combat Veterans For Congress Mission Statement.  We look forward to working with Cong Issa, and are pleased that a Combat Veteran of his caliber has decided to again run for election to the US House, at a time when his legislative skills are needed by the Republic.

If you have friends, associates, or relatives who know voters in California, kindly pass this E-mail on to them, and ask them to support Cong Issa by working in his campaign, providing financial support for his campaign in any amount, and/or by networking with others who would be willing to support his campaign.  The military is one of the few remaining institutions producing the caliber of men and women needed to restore this nation to the greatness our Founding Fathers envisioned.  We have endorsed another Combat Veteran For Congress that General George Washington would have approved of.  He is a Veteran who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to “The United States of America” for an amount “up to and including his life.”
