Amy South has a B.A. in Economics and Business from Westmont College in Santa Barbara and is currently working as a part time bookkeeper for JRJ And Associates, Inc., the Combat Veterans For Congress PAC, and the CVFC 501(c)(4). Amy compiles accounting data inputs for Federal Election Campaign (FEC) Reports and assists in updating the PAC website. Concurrently, she is a former substitute teacher at local high schools and middle schools in Ventura, California, and a former assistant instructor at the Modern Institute of Technology teaching Computer Science and Accounting. Amy is also an active member of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution.

 

As a Wholesale Auditor for Ford Motor Credit Company (FMCC), Amy South regularly conducted random wholesale floor plan audits on numerous Ford dealers and affiliates throughout Orange County. This involved an accounting of all inventory, examining dealerships' financial records, determining their level of compliance to internal procedures, and completing correct reconciliation. Her duties included oversight of Account Services, Loss Prevention, Repossessions, and Liquidations. She collaborated with insurance adjusters, law enforcement officers and contractors, to personally perform in-field investigations in order to locate collateral. Amy trained other auditors and Customer Service Representatives for FMCC. As a Senior Customer Account Representative, she handled assigned collection unit duties including collection for follow up and account resolution, and was responsible for maintaining low levels of delinquency and losses on assigned units. She assisted customers in deterring further defaults through granting and processing extensions on accounts, refinancing of existing contracts, and bankruptcy processing. Additionally, she was assigned to executing and completing lease terminations.

 

As a Legal Secretary and Accountant for The Law Offices of Richard L. Grant (now Grant & Grant), Amy managed and maintained client trust accounts in compliance with legal accounting requirements, including bookkeeping duties in accordance with contract stipulations. Her administrative tasks involved working closely with attorneys and paralegals on the discovery process, such as interrogatories, requests for production of documents, and depositions. She was tasked with conducting investigative research and skip tracing as well.

 

Amy has previous experience in the hotel industry as an Administrative Assistant for the Director of Engineering, Reservationist & PBX Operator. She has also been a Preschool Sub Para-Educator, Creative Memories Consultant, Senegence Distributor, and homeschool teacher. She is credentialed through TWIC & California CTC, and has certificates in MS Computer Office Skills, Loss prevention, Zumba & Commit Dance Fitness, scuba diving, voice over, along with awards in volunteer service, music & folkoric dance. Amy has studied abroad in Europe, Asia, and Africa.
