Congressman Mark Green, USMA ’86, Maj-USA (MC) (R-TN-7), is serving in his third term, and is Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee.  As Chairman of the House Homeland Security, Cong Green has authored important pieces of legislation over the last three years, that can be found on the Internet in House bills.  Considering the current international events, and the invasion of Israel by Hamas Terrorists, Cong Green authored three pieces of his legislation listed below.  The background information of why the three bills were authored is listed below Cong Green’s background.   

Cong Green is an endorsed Combat Veteran For Congress; we helped elect him to the US House of Representatives in 2019, and helped re-elected him to the House for two successive terms.  Cong Green received a Doctor of Medicine Degree in 1999 from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.  He served in the US Army from 1986 to 2006, following graduation in 1986 from the US Military Academy at West Point.  He was previously elected to the Tennessee State Senate in 2013, and served until 2019, when he was elected to Congress. 

Because Iran had been the world’s largest state sponsor of Terrorism for over 40 years, the Trump Administration’s imposed restrictions on any country that purchased Iranian oil.  All countries were warned that the United States would not purchase any products from them, if they purchased Iranian oil.  That restriction resulted in a dramatic loss of oil revenues for Iran for the four years of the Trump administration, and a reduction of Iran’s reserves down to $5 billion.  In addition, the Trump Administration imposed economic sanctions on Iran, making it more difficult for Iran to build a nuclear weapon. 

When the Biden/Obama Administration came to power, the Trump Administration’s restriction on the Iranian sale of oil in the international marketplace was ignored, thus permitted Iran to go forward.  Additionally, restrictions on Iran's ability to develop a nuclear weapon were also ignored.  The Biden/Obama administration’s ignoring of the restrictions on the sale of oil in the international marketplace enabled Iran to increase their reserves to over $80 billion dollars from the sale of oil to Communist China, Venezuela, and other countries in the international marketplace.   Further, the Biden/Obama administration policies allowed Iran to continue to build a nuclear weapon.

The Biden/Obama administration gave the Iranian Mullahs $6 billion dollars in a prisoner exchange, as future insurance for the resistance against Israel.  The $80 billion in revenue reserves helped fund the preparation, training, and arming Hamas Terrorists, who were hopped up on a synthetic amphetamine known as the “Jihad Drug”, for the invasion of Israel.  Hamas butchered entire families in their beds, burned children and adults alive with their hands bound behind their backs with wires, and raped pregnant women and very young girls.  The Hamas Terrorists murdered 1400 men, women, elderly grandparents, children, and babies----while decapitating 42 infants—one infant was ripped from the mothers’ womb before being decapitated.

The Biden/Obama administration continues appeasing the Mullahs, funding the development of Iran’s nuclear weapon, and working toward Israel’s defeat.  Obama is still refusing to let Biden admit to the American people that Iran is pulling the strings of what Iran calls the “Axis of Resistance”: Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Gaza and the West Bank, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and other Iranian proxies across the Middle East.  The inept Biden/Obama administration refuses to state what The Wall Street Journal and New York Times have both openly reported, and what all US intelligence Agencies have reported, which is that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps planned the current attacks against the US Military forces in the Middle East, trained Hamas Terrorist to murder Israelis, planned the October 7 invasion of Israel, and are coordinating the “Axis Of Resistance” current follow-up attacks on Israel.

As Chairman of the House Homeland Committee, Congressman Green authored the first bill listed below that passed the House, to support Israel, the second and third bills listed below, were drafted to try to rein in Iran terrorist activities, and to further support Israel.
