The Combat Veterans For Congress PAC is announcing the re-endorsement of a candidate who was previously endorsed in the 2010 mid-term election, he is therefore one of the 64 Combat Veterans For Congress who have been endorsed over the last three years.  He is a fiscally conservative candidate who will work to rein in the out of control spending by the Obama Administration.  Sgt Jesse Kelly, USMC, (R-AZ-2) http://www.votejessekelly.com is a resident of Tucson, AZ, a 4 year veteran of the US Marine Corps, and won last night in the race for an open seat in the 2nd Congressional District of Arizona.  Sgt Kelly was the 2010 Republican nominee and came to within 1.5% of defeating incumbent Democratic Congresswoman Gabrielle Gifford, in the 2010 mid-term election.  The Congresswoman announced her retirement, allowing her Chief of Staff to run for her seat as a caretaker.  Sgt Kelly won the Republican primary, and will face Congressman Ron Barber in the 2nd Congressional District.  Jesse was born on July 20, 1981 in Steubenville, Ohio, lived in Toronto, Ohio until age 10, when his family moved to Bozeman, Montana where he was raised; Jesse graduated from Bozeman High Scholl in Bozeman in June 1999.

Jesses Kelly was sworn into the US Marine Corps on August 20, 2000 in Butte, MT and reported to MCRD boot Camp in San Diego; upon completing training on February 2001 Private First Class Kelly was assigned to the Weapons Platoon of Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Marines at Camp Pendleton, CA.  PFC Kelly deployed to Okinawa with the 1st Battalion for 6 months of training, and while there deployed to Thailand for jungle warfare training.  He deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in March 2003 as a 0341 (Mortarman) with Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Marines.  His Battalion was involved in the initial invasion of Iraq, and his unit was the tip of the spear entering Baghdad with the first contingent of US Marines; while in Iraq he received a battle field promotion to Sergeant and was assigned as the unit’s Motor Section Leader (Squad Leader).   In October 2003, following 9 months of combat, Sgt Kelly’s Battalion returned to Camp Pendleton, CA.  As an NCO, Sgt Kelly led his squad into combat; he is proud of the fact that all the Combat Marines under his command returned safely to their loved ones---he took care of his men, and his men took care of him.   He was awarded the Combat Action Ribbon, a Presidential Unit Citation Ribbon, and other service and campaign medals for combat service.

For the last 4 years Jesses Kelly has been employed as a project manager by Don Kelly Construction, a family business that constructs large pipe water projects, and develops basic infrastructure & public works construction projects around the country.  Sgt Jesse Kelly, USMC, has been endorsed by former Chairman House Armed Services Committee, Congressman Duncan H. Hunter (Ret), Cong Duncan D. Hunter (R-CA-52), Congressman Trent Franks (R-AZ-2), and Sheriff Joe Arpaio.  Jesse is a member of the NRA and VFW Post 10188; his wife Aubrey have been married 51/2 years, have two sons James age 3 and Luke age 1, and they attend Alive Christian Church in Tucson, AZ.

The Combat Veteran’s For Congress PAC is pleased to endorse Sgt Jesse Kelly, USMC, soon to be sworn in as Congressman Jesse Kelly; you would be pleased with his views on limited government, secure borders, and so much more.   If you review Sgt Kelly’s positions on his Web site, you would approve of his stands; they agree with the Combat Veterans for Congress Mission Statement.  We look forward to working with Congressman Kelly, and are pleased that a Combat Veteran of his caliber will be running for re-election to Congress in November.  If you have friends, associates, or relatives who know voters in the 2nd Congressional District of Arizona, kindly pass this E-mail on to them, and ask them to support Sgt Jesse Kelly by working in his campaign, providing financial support for his campaign in any amount, and/or by networking with others who would be willing to support his campaign. The military is one of the few remaining institutions producing the caliber of men and women needed to restore this nation to the greatness our Founding Fathers envisioned.  We have endorsed another Combat Veteran For Congress that General George Washington would have approved of.  He is a Veteran who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable “to The United States of America” for an amount “up to and including his life.”
