The Combat Veterans For Congress PAC is endorsing Sergeant First Class Frank J. LaRose, USAR (Green Beret) who is also the elected State of Ohio Secretary of State as the 151st Combat Veteran For Congress in the past fourteen years.  He is running to represent Ohio in the US Senate.  SFC LaRose is a fiscally conservative candidate who will work to rein in the out-of-control spending by the radical Socialist Democrats in the Senate.  He is running to represent Ohio in the US Senate for Ohio.  SFC LaRose served for 13  years in the US Army Reserve with 2 Combat Deployments.  He continues to serve today as a member of the US Army Reserve.  SFC LaRose resides in Columbus, OH and is running against three term Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH-Senate).  Ohio Secretary of State and Green Beret SFC LaRose is a fiscally conservative candidate who will work to reduce the national debt, will support economic growth, will work toward unleashing the private sector to grow, create jobs, stimulate private sector business investment.  He is an avid supporter of Law Enforcement, will vote to strengthen the US Armed Forces, will protect the Freedom of Religion and Speech guaranteed by the US Constitution.

SFC LaRose will defend traditional Family Values and will provide “true” representation for the average American voter in Washington and in the Republic.  He understands issues facing members of the US Armed Forces and will ensure they are cared for both while serving their country on active duty, as reservists, and in their retirement as Veterans.  Ohio Secretary of State LaRose strongly supports The Free Enterprise System, considers the Socialist Democrat Party’s agenda a threat to the founding principles of the Republic, and will work to stop the out-of-control spending by irresponsible Socialist Democrat members in the US Senate.  SFC LaRose will support securing the wide-open southern border, to prevent the entry of drugs, MS-13 gang members, terrorists, human traffickers, and the over 250,000 Illegal Aliens each month from 160 countries who are entering the United States without being checked for contagious disease or being injected to prevent the spread of the Wuhan Virus. 

SFC LaRose is running against far-left Socialist Democrat, Senator Sherrod Brown, whose voting record informs all the Independents, Conservatives, Libertarians, Republicans, and Patriotic Democrats in Ohio need to know about Brown’s radical Anti-American political philosophy is his voting record over the last 5 years.  Brown voted against the Parent’s Bill of Rights that requires schools to publish their curriculum and allow parents to have input to school policies.  Brown voted against the Secure the Border Act to fund more Border Patrol Agents, to complete construction of the border wall to close the wide-open southern border, and to impose harsh penalties for drug cartels.  Brown voted against the Protection of Women and Girl Sports Act that prohibits schools that receive federal dollars from allowing men to compete with girls and women sports.  Brown voted against the Born-Alive, Abortion Survivors Protection Act that would protect babies born alive by mandating that doctors provide care for survivors of abortion.  Brown voted against the Repeal of Pistol Brace Ban that repeals ATF’s unconstitutional pistol brace ban that violates the 2nd Amendment.  Brown voted against the Family and Small Business Taxpayer Protection Act that repeals the majority of Inflation Reduction Act especially the funding of 87,000 new armed IRS Agents (instead Socialist Democrats should have funded 87,000 new Border Patrol Agents to secure the wide-open southern border).  Brown voted against the Limit Save Grow Act that puts The Lower Energy Cost Act into effect whose aim it was to put a stop to the war on American Energy and allows America to become Energy Independent which would lower the cost of energy for families who are struggling.

Frank LaRose was born on April 18, 1979, in Akron, Ohio.  Frank developed his strong work ethic and sense of responsibility at a young age while working on a small, family-owned farm in Northeast Ohio; he joined the Boy Scouts of America and became an Eagle Scout.  He was raised in Copley, OH, has a brother serving in the US Army Special Forces, and attended Copley High School where he played on the Copley High School football team. 

Following graduation from Copley High School in June 1997, he fulfilled a lifelong dream and enlisted in the United States Army on August 7, 1997, at the Cleveland Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS).  Private LaRose reported to Basic Training, to Fort Leonnard Wood, MO and PFC LaRose was the honor graduate of his Basic Training Class. 

In December 1997, PFC LaRose was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division in the 326th Engineering Battalion.  In February 1998, he reported for training to Air Assault training at Fort Campbell, KY.   In July 1998, PFC LaRose volunteered to be part of a newly formed operation, Joint Task Force 6 (JTF-6), working with the US Border Patrol on the border with Mexico to combat the flow of illegal drugs into the United States.  From July-August 1999, PFC LaRose completed the Sapper Leadership Course.  In August 1999, PFC La Rose was promoted to Specialist.

January 2000, SPC LaRose was invited to attend leadership school, where he distinguished himself by graduating at the top of his class and was immediately promoted to Sergeant.  At the age of 20, Frank was the youngest Sergeant in the 101st Airborne.  Because of his youth and early success, the Army tapped Sgt LaRose to participate in a speaking tour, recruiting young men and women who wished to follow the path of US Army service in the defense of their country.

August 16, 2000, Sgt LaRose deployed from Ft Campbell, KY in support of Operation Joint Guardian, to Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo.  On this deployment he also spent time in Vitina, Urosavac, and Skjope Macedonia, leading an engineering squad of 12 soldiers as part of the NATO peacekeeping mission in Kosovo.  While in Kosovo, Sgt LaRose squad worked to improve local infrastructure and encourage stability and peace in the war-torn region.  Sgt LaRose’s Squad also served on a rapid response team, which interceded after terrorist incidents to clean up debris, checked for further explosive devices, and minimized the effects of attacks on people’s everyday lives.  Sgt LaRose and his Squad returned to Ft Campbell, KY on February 8, 2001.

March 2001, upon returning from Kosovo, Sgt LaRose’s enlistment was nearing its end; he chose to re-enlist as part of the Ohio National Guard and again volunteered; this time to take part in the intense, 23-day long try-outs for the Army Special Forces at Ft. Bragg, NC.  During the intense 23-day try-outs, Sgt La Rose was among the top 20% of recruits invited to return to complete the full Special Forces training course at Fort Bragg, NC. 

In February 2002, Sgt La Rose reported to Airborne School at Fort Benning, GA; he completed training and was awarded the Parachutist Badge and was designated a paratrooper in March 2002.  In April 2002, he reported to Ft Bragg, NC to begin 6 phases of training in the Special Forces Qualification Course (SFQC), a 63-week course, including French Immersion Language Training, Engineering Specialty Training, SERE School, Robin Sage Training, etc.  Sgt LaRose graduated from SFQC in October 2003; he was awarded the Green Beret and promoted to Staff Sergeant.  SSgt LaRose was assigned to Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group. 

Following Special Forces training, SSgt LaRose first assignment was as part of Special Forces “A Team” that was deployed to Morocco in January 2004.  While there, SSgt LaRose worked training the King of Morocco’s elite paratroopers and fostering cooperation with one of our strongest allies in the Muslim world.  His unit, next completed Broken Axle, Advanced Special Operations Training.  SSgt Larose’s Special Forces “A Team” was next chosen to deploy to Oman, where, as a guest of the Sultan, his unit worked with the Sultan’s Special Force (SSFs) and conducted joint training exercises.  SSgt LaRose completed the Special Forces Pack Animal and Horsemanship Training in Colorado.  He then completed Have-Ace Training (Ariel Gunnery Training with the USAF).

In December 2005, SSgt LaRose was awarded with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Consumer Affairs and Business from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

On January 25, 2006, SSgt LaRose and his “A Team” in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom were deployed from Rickenbacker ANG Base in Columbus, OH to Baghdad, Iraq and Camp Delta in Al Kut, Iraq, where the “A Team” worked with a group of several hundred Iraqi volunteers, determined to see their country be free.  SSgt LaRose’s unit trained police officers to defend their streets in a town south of Baghdad as the province’s first tactical police (SWAT) unit.  Today, that group of officers continues to ensure a burgeoning peace in their communities.  SSgt LaRose and his “A Team” returned to Rickenbacker ANG Base in Columbus, OH on August 25, 2006.  On October 14, 2006, SSgt LaRose was Honorably Discharged from Active Duty, and was transferred back to the Ohio National Guard.  In January 2007, SSgt LaRose was promoted to Sergeant First Class.

SFC LaRose currently serves in the US Army Reserve.  His current awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal (Oak Leaf Cluster in lieu of 2nd Award), The Army Achievement Medal (three Oak Leaf Clusters in lieu of 4th Award), Overseas Ribbon, the NATO Medal, Combat Infantrymen’s Badge, Special Forces Tab, Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, Sapper Tab, and various Service and Campaign Medals. 

In January 2010 Frank was appointed as the City of Brecksville’s Director of Economic Development in Brecksville, OH.  In 2010, Frank ran for the Ohio State Senate, to represent the 27th District and was elected.  Among numerous recognitions, State Senator LaRose earned the Legislator of the Year award from the Ohio Association of Election Officials for his efforts to improve Ohio’s election process.  Frank served for two terms in the Ohio State Senate from January 2011 to January 2019.  In 2018, Frank ran for Ohio Secretary of State, was elected the 51st Ohio Secretary of State and served from January 2019 until present; he declared his intention to run to represent Ohio in the US Senate in 2023.

Frank LaRose is a member of the NRA (Life Member), the American Legion, the VFW (Life Member), Special Forces Association, and as a member of The Green Beret Foundation Board.  Frank and his wife, Lauren of 18 years, are the proud parents of their three daughters Hadley age 12, Ellie age 10, and Lainey age 8; they attend religious services at St. Agatha Catholic Parish, in Upper Arlington, OH.
