The Combat Veterans For Congress PAC is endorsing the 141st endorsed Combat Veteran For Congress in 12 years; Maj Samuel J. Peters, USAF (Ret) of Las Vegas, Nevada.  Maj Peters is running in the 4th Congressional District of Nevada, for the seat of two term Congressman Stephen Horsford (D-NV-4).  He is a fiscally conservative candidate who will work to rein in the out of control spending by the irresponsible members of the Socialist Democrat Party in Congress, he will work toward reducing the national debt, support increasing the strength of the US military, will support the Freedom of Speech & Religion, will support the 2nd Amendment’s Right to Bear Arms, will support closing the wide open southern border, and support the Free Enterprise System to stimulate private sector business development.  Maj Peters served his country proudly in the US Air Force for 20 ½ years. 

Cong Stephen Horsford, votes in lockstep with Pelosi 98+% of the time.  He is on the Ways and Means Committee and is pushing the $3.5 Trillion Socialist Democrat Marxist Reconciliation Bill, whose real cost is over $5 Trillion.  He supports maintaining the wide open Southern Border allowing over 200,000 Illegal Aliens per month from over 160 countries to enter the United States.  Since 2011, Hosford has been applauding and supporting his wife’s teaching of Critical Race Theory (CRT) at Columbia University, as reported by Breitbart on August 21, 2021.  Horsford also admitted to having a 10 year extra-marital affair with one of his paid interns, in an abuse of power, taking advantage of a young girl.   

Maj Sam Peters comes from a military family that served in the defense of the Republic.  Sam’s father, First Sgt Steve Peters, USA (Ret) served in Korea, Vietnam, and throughout many Pacific Rim countries; he retired in 1990.  Sam’s oldest brother, Staff Sergeant Kevin Peters, USA (Ret) served in the Mediterranean on a Navy Supply ship and in various billets on Army bases throughout CONUS; he retired in 2008.  Sam’s middle brother SPC Travis Peters, USA served for 3 years in the US Army in the early 1990's.

Sam Peters was born on October 30, 1974 in Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, DC, and was raised in Milo, Maine.  He attended Penquis Valley High School, in Milo, Maine.  He played golf in high school and graduated in May 1992.   In June 1998, Staff Sergeant Peters received an Associated Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from the Community College of the Air Force at Maxwell Air Force Base, AL.  In June 2001, Tech Sergeant Peters received a Bachelor of Science Degree (Magna Cum Laude) in Criminal Justice Administration, from Park University in Parkville, MO.  In June 2005, 1st Lt Peters received a Master of Science Degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University in Mt Pleasant, MI.  In June 2008, Cpt Peters was designated a Distinguished Graduate from Squadron Officer School at Maxwell Air Force Base, AL.  In May 2011, Capt Peters received a Graduate Certificate in Organizational Finance from the University of Maryland’s Global Campus in Adelphi, MD.  In December 2011, Capt Peters completed the Air Command and Staff College course at Maxwell Air Force Base, AL.   

On November 12, 1992, Samuel Peters was sworn into the US Air Force at the Military Entrance Processing Station in Honolulu, HI.  Airman Peters began his Enlisted Basic Training on November 14, 1992 at Lackland Air Force Base, TX,  followed by Law Enforcement School, then K9 School at Lackland.  In May 1993, Airman Peters went to Air Base Ground Defense School at Fort Dix, NJ.  In May 1993, he was transferred to his first duty assignment at Howard Air Force Base in Panama as a K9 Handler.  In May 1994, Airman Peters was promoted to Airman First Class, then to Senior Airman in May of 1995, and in August 1996 he was transferred to Grand Forks Air Force Base, ND.  

In May of 1997, he was promoted to Staff Sergeant.  In June 1997, SSgt Peters deployed as an Explosive Detection Dog Handler in support of Operation Southern Watch to Al Jabbar Air Base, Kuwait.  SSgt Peters was responsible for clearing all foreign vehicle/supplies coming into the forward operating base, he was awarded with the Air Force Achievement Medal for service.  On October 1998, SSgt Peters was transferred to Osan Air Base, Republic of South Korea.  In October 1999, he was transferred to Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska.   

In September 2000, he deployed in support of  Operation Southern Watch, from Elmendorf AFB, AK to Prince Sultan Air Base, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as an explosives detector dog handler/trainer and was again responsible for clearing vehicles, equipment and supplies coming into the US controlled areas; he was awarded with the Air Force Achievement Medal for service.  In February 2001, SSgt Peters was promoted to Technical Sergeant.  In June 2001, TSgt Peters received a Bachelor of Science Degree (Magna Cum Laude) in Criminal Justice Administration, from Park University in Parkville, MO.  In August 2002, TSgt Peters entered Air Force Officer Training School at Maxwell Air Force Base, AL, was a Distinguished Graduate and commissioned a 2nd Lt in October 2002, and was transferred to Minot Air Force Base, ND.  In April 2004, 2nd Lt Peters was promoted to First Lieutenant.   

In October 2005, 1st Lt Peters was transferred to Lackland Air Force Base, TX as Operations Officer for  324th Training Squadron.  In June 2005, he reported to Central Command Headquarters at McDill Air Force Base, FL in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. In October 2005, 1st Lt Peters was transferred to Lackland Air Force Base, TX as Operations Officer for 324th Training Squadron (Basic Military Training).  In October 2006, 1st Lt Peters was promoted to Captain.  In Aug 2006, Capt Peters was reassigned as Executive Officer of the 727th Training Group, Lackland Air Force Base.   

In February 2007, Capt Peters deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  He led a team of ten US Air Force Drill Instructors as "Air Advisors" for the Iraqi Air Force with the Coalition Air Force Training Team to Taji AB, north of Baghdad.  The primary assignment was to stand up a basic training at Taji AB for the Iraqi Air Force.  The team advised senior Iraqi officers on the proper training methods, tracking student’s training, paying them, and in general administration.  Capt Peters was awarded with the Defense Meritorious Service Medal and returned to Lackland Airforce Base in September 2007 where he was assigned as the 319th Training Squadron Operations Officer.  

In August 2008, Capt Peters was transferred to the Headquarters Air Education and Training Command at Randolph Air Force Base, as the Chief for the A1 (Manpower and Personnel Division) Manpower Support Section.  In May of 2010, Capt Peters was transferred to Eglin Air Force Base in FL as the Support Flight Commander for the 486th Flying Test Squadron.   

In August 2011, Capt Peters deployed from Eglin AFB to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, reporting to the Joint Task Force (Special Operations) at Bagram AB, and worked directly with/for LTG Votel, USA.  In his capacity for the deployed JTF, he coordinated the arrival of Afghan Parliamentary delegations, US Congressional delegations, and VIPs (FBI Dir, NSA Dir, etc.) and the movements into, through and out of the combat area aiding in development of hi-value target identification and elimination.  Capt Peters was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and the Joint Services Achievement Medal for the support as mentioned, which led to the elimination of a record number of enemies forces throughout the combat zone.  Capt Peters departed Afghanistan in December 2011, and returned to Eglin Air Force Base, FL; in January 2012 he was assigned as the Support Flight Commander of the 486th Flight Test Squadron.  In October 2012, Capt Peters was promoted to Major.    

Maj Sam Peters was Honorably Discharged on April 30, 2013 at Eglin Air Force Base after having served 20 ½ years in the US Air Force.  His military awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal (Gold Star for 2nd award), Air Force Meritorious Service Medal (Gold Star for 2nd award), Air Force Commendation Medal (3 Gold Stars for 4th award), Joint Services Achievement Medal (Gold Star for 2nd award), Air Force Achievement Medal (2 Gold Stars for 3rd award),  Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award (with Combat “V”), Air Force Outstanding Unit Award (2 Gold Stars for 3rd award), Air Force Recognition Ribbon, Humanitarian Service Medal (Gold Star for 2nd award), and various Service and Campaign Medals.

In April 2013, Sam Peters accepted a position with Allstate Insurance Company in Alaska as a Field Market Leader, and became the Regional Manager for Allstate in Alaska, responsible for 31 Storefronts across the state generating $100M in annual revenue.  In July 2015 he created Peters Family Insurance, LLC (an Allstate Agency) with one storefront in Las Vegas Nevada, the agency grew by 400% in 4 years, and now he operates 3 agencies in Nevada.  Sam Peters is a Life Member of the NRA, Gun Owners of America, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled Veterans of America, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and he is a member of Rotary International.  Sam Peters and his wife Melissa of 8 years, and their children Connor age 7 and Callie age 3 are members of the Canyon Ridge Christian Church, Lone Mountain Campus, Las Vegas, Nevada.  Sam’s daughter, Kelsey, age 23, is a registered Nurse.
