The Combat Veterans For Congress PAC is endorsing the 26th Combat Veteran For Congress in 17 states; he is a fiscally conservative candidate who will work to rein in the out of control spending by the Pelosi Congress.   Maj. Charles Lollar, USMCR (R-MD-5) http://www.LollarForCongress.com  resides in Newburg, MD.  He has served in the US Marine Corps and US Marine Corps Reserves from 1997 to present and is running for election and is a candidate for Congress in Maryland’s 5th Congressional District against Cong Steny Hoyer (D-MD-5).  Cong Hoyer has been an ally of Nancy Pelosi in promoting the Obama Administration’s policies including votes in support of the Stimulus Bill, the Cap and Trade Bill, Health Care Reform, and Finance Reform.   
  
Charles Lollar was born in Toppenish, Washington in June 1971.  Charles graduated from McEachern High School in Powder Springs, GA in 1988.   Charles earned an AA in Behavioral Science from Emory University in Atlanta, GA in 1991, a Bachelor’s of Science in Political Science from Kennesaw University in Kennesaw, GA in 1993,  and an MBA from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA in 2004.  
  
Charles Lollar entered Officers Candidate School and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the US Marine Corps on August 1997; as a Second Lieutenant and completed his infantry training in July 1998.  First Lieutenant Lollar was deployed to Kosovo from march 1999 to October 1999 on Operation Joint Endeavor.  He was awarded the Navy Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Unit Commendation, Meritorious Unit Commendation, the Joint Meritorious Unit Award as well as other service and campaign medals.  On July 1, 2003 he received an honorable discharge from active duty and became US Marine Officer in the US Marine Corps Reserve. Today Maj Charles Lollar serves in the USMCR as an Intelligence Officer; his Reserve Unit is Headquarters US Marine Corps, Intelligence.  
  
Charles father, a tax consultant, instilled in him an old fashioned work ethic while his mother, a librarian, taught him how to be compassionate and caring for his fellow man At the age of 13 Charles delivered newspapers before going to school every morning.  He worked his way through both high school and college by bagging groceries, stocking shelves, and selling items door-to-door.  
  
Professionally Charles was the General Manager for Cintas, a facility services corporation with over $23 million in sales.  He oversaw 170 employees at their Prince George’s County, Md. facility, a role which has enabled him to interact extensively with the diverse and varied communities of Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles, Prince Georges, and St. Mary’s County.  In July 2010 Charles Lollar took a sabbatical from Cintas Corporation where he was a general manager in order to run for Congress.  
  
Never one to ask of others what he would not do himself, Charles has been active in numerous community organizations.  He serves on the Executive Board of Directors for the Maryland Chamber of Commerce and is also a member of the DC Chamber of Commerce.  Maj Lollar belongs to the American Legion in St Mary’s County, MD the Marine Corps League and the NRA.  He is a graduate of both Leadership Maryland and Leadership Prince George’s County.  Charles also served as the Chairman of the Charles County Republican Central Committee and the Chairman of the Maryland GOP Taxpayers Commission where he fought to protect the interests of Maryland taxpayers.  Maj Lollar has been endorsed by Freedom Works PAC (Tea Party Patriots), BAMPAC, and 60+Plus Association. In June 2010 Charles received an endorsement from Sean Hannity while appearing on the Hannity Show.  Maj Lollar and his family are active members of the Trinity Christian Center in Douglasville, GA.  He is a dedicated father of four and a devoted husband.  Charles and his wife, Rosha, have been married for sixteen years; they are the proud parents of four daughters ranging in age from eleven to fifteen years of age.

Charles is running to rein in the out of control spending by the Pelosi Congress by balance the federal budget, and implementing a zero-based budgeting process for all spending requests.  He also seeks to maintain a strong national security with an enduringly strong military, and promote a government that adheres to the precepts of the U. S. Constitution.
