Lt Col Monetti will support measures to decrease the $20 trillion national debt and work for a balanced budget.  He will support measures to support The Free Enterprise System, create jobs, and stimulate private sector business investment.  He will vote for legislation to continue in rebuilding the strength of the U.S. Armed Forces, and champion veterans rights.  He will vote to protect & support the 2nd Amendment, will vote to close the wide open southern border, and work to replace Obamacare with an affordable and efficient medical health insurance system.  Lt Col Monetti will vote for a 12 year term limit for Congress, will support President Trump’s tax cut and favors less taxes going forward, and will vote to protect and defend the life of an unborn child.

Lt Col Monetti served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force for 23 years, and resides in Warrensburg, Missouri.  He is running in the primary to win the nomination to run for the US Senate seat currently occupied by Senator Claire McCaskill. Claire McCaskill has been a career politician, on the public payroll for 31 years, having served in the Senate for 12 years, as Missouri Auditor for 8 years, as Jackson County Prosecutor for 5 years, and in the Missouri House of Representatives for 6 years.

McCaskill voted against confirming Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch, voted against President Trump’s Tax Cut, cast the deciding vote to pass Obamacare, voted against constructing a Border Wall to seal the wide open southern border, supports sanctuary cities, opposes having local law enforcement work with ICE to remove convicted criminal Illegal Aliens from the United States, favors funding Planned Parenthood, and favors abortions at 5 months when babies feel pain.

Tony Monetti was born on April 2, 1964 in Brooklyn, NY as the first born son of legally admitted Italian Immigrants.  In his youth, Tony was raised in Brooklyn, and was strongly influenced to serve in the US military by his cousin, Walter Romei, who was a US Army Airborne Ranger who was injured in one of his jumps that broke his back.  Tony attended Aviation High School, Long Island City, Queens, New York where he was Student Body President, President of the Technical Honor Society, Editor of the High School Year Book, earned his Airframe & Powerplant FAA License, and where he played soccer, and competed in Track and Field; Tony graduated in June 1982. 

Following graduation Tony matriculated at Northwestern Prep School in Santa Barbara, CA, and graduated in February 1983.  In June 1983 Tony entered the US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.  At the Air Force Academy Cadet Monetti participated in intramural boxing and played soccer.  He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science in May 1987, and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force.  In June 1994, Captain Monetti graduated from Webster University in St Louis, MO with Master of Arts Degree in Management.  In June 2002, Lt Col Monetti graduated from US Air Force Air University at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama with a Master of Arts Degree in Military Operational Art and Science. 

In June 1987, following graduation, 2nd Lt. Monetti reported for pilot indoctrination and training at Undergraduate Pilot Training at Williams Air Force Base located east of Chandler, Arizona.  In July 1988, 2nd Lt Monetti completed pilot training, graduated, and received his silver wings as a B-52 Pilot.  He reported to the 668th Bomber squadron at Griffiss AFB, Rome, NY.  In May 1989, he was promoted to First Lieutenant.  In February 1990, 1st Lt Monetti forward deployed, in support of Operation Desert Storm to Diego Garcia and then to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and reported to the 4300rd Bomb Wing, returning to CONUS in May 1990.  In January 1991, 1st Lt Monetti deployed in support of Operation Desert Storm to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and reported to the 4300rd Bomb Wing; he flew initial air strikes as a B-52 pilot, flying his B-52 400 feet off the deck in a total of 17 Combat Missions over Bagdad, Kuwait, as a B-52 pilot; he returned to Griffiss, AFB in April 1991. In May 1991, 2nd Lt Monetti was promoted to Captain, and for combat action in Desert Storm he was awarded the Air Medal, Outstanding Unit Award (Valor Device), Combat Tab, and other Service and Campaign Medals.

In March 1992, Captain Monetti was selected to fly the B-1B Bomber, and was to transferred to Dyess, TX to train as B-1B pilot; he was subsequently transferred to the 28th Bomb Squadron to McConnel AFB, KS.  In November 1994, he was assigned as a Aircrew Training Device Instructor for the B-2 Stealth Bomber with the 509th Operation Support Squadron, Whitman AFB, MO; he was selected as one of the first B-2 Bomber qualified pilots as Initial Qualification Training #7.  In May 1996, Captain Monetti was promoted to major.  Maj Monetti is one of a handful of pilots to have qualified to fly the B-52, B-1, and B-2 bombers.  In July 1996, Maj Monetti was assigned as a B-2 Mission Commander/Pilot of the 393rd Bomb Squadron at Whiteman, AFB.  In January 1997, Maj Monetti was assigned as Chief. Combat Plans of the 393rd Bomb Squadron.

In June 1998, Maj Monetti was transferred as Chief of Safety, 509th Bomb Wing at Whiteman AFB.  In April 1999, Maj Monetti’s B-2 Bomber deployed from Whiteman, AFB on 30 hour missions to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo in support of NATO Operation Allied Force, in order to drop precision weapons on an enemy target; the B-2 Bomber returned to Whiteman, AFB.  For that successful combat mission, Maj Monetti was awarded the Distinguish Flying Cross, Air Medal, Outstanding Unit Award (Valor Device), the Combat Tab, and other Service and Campaign Medals.

In November 1999, Maj Monetti was transferred as the Chief of Standardization and Evaluation  to the 394th Combat Training Squadron at Whiteman AFB.  In September 2001 he was ordered to Air Command and Staff College at Maxwell AFB, AL, where  in June 2002, he received a Master of Arts in Military Operational Art and Science Degree. 

In June 2002, Maj Monetti was transferred to NATO Southern Command in Poggio Renatico, Italy, as a Joint Forces Officer and appointed as Chairman of NATO’s Time Sensitive Targeting Unit in the Combined Air Operations Center #5.  In August 2003, Maj Monetti was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel.  In September 2003, Lt Col Monetti was appointed as the Chief of Balkan Plans at Combined Air Operation Center #5, which controlled Joint Combined Coalition Airpower over former Yugoslavia.   In for service in support of NATO operations for Kosovo, Bosnia  and Herzegovina, Lt Col Monetti was awarded with the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, and Service and Campaign Medals.

In June 2004, Lt Col Monetti was transferred to Whiteman AFB, MO as the Director of Operations Training, US Air Force  at the 394th Combat Training Squadron.  He was responsible for training and evaluation of B-2 Combat Pilots for the only operational B-2 Squadron in the US Air Force.  In July 31, 2007 Lt Col Monetti resigned his commission and was Honorably Discharged from the US Air Force.  He owned a small business owner of Monetti’s Italian Ristorante and Pizzeria in Warrensburg, Missouri, which he still operates, made speeches as a Motivational Speaker, and became a Published Author from Discovery House of “Called to Serve, and Honored to Serve”.  In December 2007, he accepted a position as a First Officer for B757 Aircraft for Eos Airlines.  In April 2008, he accepted a position as a B-2 Bomber Combat Analyst for SAIC at Whiteman AFB.

In July 31, 2009, Lt Col Monetti was recalled to Active Duty, as the Director of Operations of the 13th Bomb Squadron at Whiteman AFB, MO, home of one of the two B-2 Bomb Squadrons in the US Air Force,  He also served as a B-2 Evaluator and Instructor pilot.  On July 30, 2012, Lt Col Monetti resigned from the  US Air Force, was a warded a Meritorious Service Medal, a Meritorious Unit Award, and was Honorably Discharged from the US Air Force.  For his 23 years of Service in the US Air Force Lt Col Monetti was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Defense Meritorious Service medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2 Oak Leaf Clusters for 3 Awards), Air Medal (1 Oak Leaf Cluster for 2 Awards), Air Force Commendation Medal (3 Oak Leaf Clusters for 4 Awards), Air Force Achievement Medal (2 Oak Leaf Clusters for 3 Awards), Meritorious Unit Award (2 Oak Leaf Clusters for 3 Awards), AF Outstanding Unit Award with “Valor” (2 Oak Leaf Clusters for 3 Awards), Combat Readiness Medal (5 oak Leaf Clusters for 6 Awards), AF Overseas Medal, Combat Tab (2 Awards), and multiple Service and Campaign Medals.

Tony Monetti accepted the position of Assistant Dean of Aviation and Executive Director at the University of Central Missouri at Skyhaven Airport, Warrensburg, MO; and to lead every aspect of aviation academics leading to Bachelor and Master Degree programs.  In addition Tony is responsible for the safe operation of the 7th busiest airport in the State of Missouri, requiring the management of a $2.4 million dollar budget.  Tony continued as a Motivational Speaker and small business Owner of Monetti’s Italian Ristorante and Pizzeria.  on April 2, 2018 Tony declared his intentions, as the first candidate, to run for the US Senate seat held by Senator Claire McCaskill.  On February 27, 2018, Tony stepped down from his position at the University of Central Missouri.  His grassroots campaign is gaining momentum, and endorsements from leaders nationwide.

Tony Monetti is a life member of the National Rifle Association, a life member of the VFW, the American legion, the Air Force Association, the US Air Force Academy Association of Graduates, the Military Officers Association of America, Founder of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Johnson County, MO (they have matched 1000 children with role models). In 2004, Tony was the recent of the Angel award for Civic Service  at Air University, Maxwell Air Force Base for serving as a youth soccer coach and mentor.   He was voted Man of The Year in Warrensburg, MO for saving a dying lake, and received the Learning to a Greater degree Award in the 2014 for his leadership at the University of Central Missouri for turning a struggling academic program into a revenue generating one with expanding enrollments.  Tony and his wife Penny of 30 years and their three children: their son Nico (age 29), First Lieutenant Antonio Monetti, USA (age 26), and daughter Brie (age 21) are members of Sacred Heart Church in Warrensburg, Mo.  Tony and Penny are Christian authors and Professional Life Coaches helping Wounded Veterans with PTSD.
