Lt. Col. Lang Sias, USANG (R-CO-7) of Arvada, Colorado is a fiscally conservative candidate who will work to rein in the out of control spending by the Pelosi Congress.  He is running against Congressman Ed Perlmutter (D-CO-7) who is a Pelosi clone.  Lt. Col. Sias is a graduate from Vassar College, received an MS from London School of Economics, and has a JD from the University of Michigan Law School. 

In 1986 Ensign Lang Sias went thru Aviation Officer Candidate’s School and primary flight training to become a Navy FA-18 pilot.  In 1991 during Operation Desert Storm, Lt Sias flew 23 combat missions and subsequently became a Top Gun Instructor at Miramar Naval Air Station.  He was later honorably discharged from the US Navy and transitioned to the Air National Guard, where he flew F-16s. In 2005, during Operation Iraqi Enduring Freedom Lt. Col. Sias commanded a detachment of Ground Forward Air Controllers; he was attached to the US Army’s 116 Brigade Combat Team that was based in Kirkuk and Hawaija.  Lt. Col. Sias is currently in the Air National Guard, and is serving as a forward air controller and working in tactics development.  His awards include the Air Medals with combat “V”, 2 Strike Flight Air Medals, the Navy Commendation Medal with combat “V”, and the Navy Achievement Medal.

Lt. Col. Lang is an attorney, and has worked for one of the nation’s top firms representing emerging growth companies and entrepreneurs.  In 2007-2008 Lt. Col. Sias was a Senior Staff Member and the National Director for the Veterans Outreach Coalition in the McCain/Palin Campaign. He has been a guest lecturer at the US Military Academy at West Point.
