The Combat Veterans For Congress PAC is endorsing the 64th Combat Veteran For Congress; he is a fiscal and constitutional conservative Congressman who has been working to rein in the out-of-control spending by the Obama Administration.  Congressman Jeffrey J. Denham, SSgt-USAF (R-CA-10) http://www.DenhamForCongress.com resides in Turlock, CA and is running for re-election in the 10th Congressional District of California.  Cong Denham served in the US Air Force and the Air Force Reserve for 16 years.   Congressman Denham serves on the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee, the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, and the Natural Resources Committee.  He has been working to prevent any reductions in military pay or benefits, has worked to find realistic methods of cutting federal spending, to identify and curb irresponsible fiscal practices of the Obama Administration, to pass a balanced budget amendment to the United States’ Constitution, and has worked with his colleagues on the Hill to reinvigorate the US economy.  Nancy Pelosi has sent the signal the Congressman Denham’s seat has been targeted, and he will be running against a carpetbagger, Jose Hernandez who is moving into the 10th Congressional District of California from Houston, Texas to run against Congressman Denham.   Jeffrey Denham was born on July 29, 1967 in Hawthorne, California. The family moved to Atascadero/Morro Bay in 1978; Jeff graduated from Morro Bay High School in June of 1985.   In 1988, Jeff entered Victor Valley Junior College in Victorville, CA, and graduate with an Associate Arts Degree in June of 1989.  In 1989 he entered California Polytechnic San Luis Obispo receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science Degree in June 1991.  

While still a junior in Morro Bay High School, Jeff joined the US Air Force Reserve in June 1984, and went to basic training in San Antonio, Texas in August 1985.  Airman Denham completed basic training in November 1985, was assigned to George Air Force Base, Victorville, California and went on to eleven weeks of advanced training as be trained as a Tactical Aircraft Maintenance Specialist.  Upon completion of training, and on February 10, 1987, he was promoted to Airman First Class, and was reassigned to George Air Force Base.  He was received an honorable discharge from the US Air Force on June, 20, 1988, volunteered to continue serving in the US Air Force Reserve.  In 1989 he was assigned to March Air Force Base, CA.  On December 18, 1990, SSgt Denham was called to active duty and deployed to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for Operation Desert Storm where he served with the 452ndAir Refueling Wing, which flew missions into Iraq during combat operations.  Upon return to CONUS in June 1991, he was awarded with a Meritorious Service Medal, the Kuwait Liberation Medal, and various campaign medals for combat duty during Operation Desert Storm.   On June 18, 1992, SSgt Denham was called to active duty and deployed to Moron, Spain for Operation Restore Hope serving with the 349th AMW where he flew missions into Somalia, and returned to the United States in early 1993.  He was awarded a second Meritorious Service Medal and various campaign medals for duty in Operation Restore Hope.   In 1994, SSgt Denham was assigned to Travis Air Force Base, California and served there through 2000.  After 16 years of service in the US Air Force and the US Air Force Reserve, Staff Sergeant Jeffrey Denham, USAFR was Honorably Discharged on July 15, 2000.   

After graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1991, Jeff Denham worked in the agriculture industry as an almond rancher and entrepreneur.  He worked for California Express to 1998 and understands the critical importance of agriculture business in cultivating California’s economy and maintaining employment.  In 1998 Jeff incorporated Denham Plastics, in Salinas, California and to this day it is a family run enterprise.  Jeff was elected to the California State Senate in 2002.  In his work as a California State Senator from 2002-2010, State Senator Denham focused on balancing run-away spending in California and protecting taxpayer dollars from wasteful state projects. He was a proven and courageous leader in the California Senate, where he gained renown for his refusal to vote on irresponsible budget proposals.  Jeff developed an almond farm in Atwater, California in 2004 which is still a family run enterprise.  Jeff was elected to Congress in the 2010 mid-term election.  He is a member of the VFW, the American Legion, and the Western Growers Association.   First and foremost, Congressman Denham is a family man. Jeff and his wife, Sonia, of 19 years are the parents of Austin age 16, and Samantha age 14; they attend the First Presbyterian Church of Turlock, CA.
